The Kingdom to Come

’Mid all the temptations I daily may meet, While here, a poor pilgrim, I roam, I’ve this to console me, and oh, it is sweet— The thought of the kingdom to come! Refrain The kingdom to come, the kingdom to come, Where I my dear Savior shall see! The kingdom to come, the kingdom to come, Oh, that is the kingdom for me! How many have gone to that region so fair; But still, I am told, there is room! And, if I am faithful, my lot shall be there— Shall be in that kingdom to come. Refrain Oh, do not detain me with aught that is vain, But let me press on to my home! My spirit is longing a place to obtain, Inside of the kingdom to come! Refrain Oh, come and go with me to yonder abode, Where flowers eternally bloom! The home of the angels and children of God— The glorious kingdom to come! Refrain
